CRANE CONNECT NEWSLETTER

September, 2024

MAURITIUS SUMMARY

The construction sector in Mauritius has been thriving in specific regions, particularly with government
housing projects advancing robustly. There is however, considerable pressure to complete these
initiatives before the upcoming elections at the year’s end, as this strategy is aimed at acquiring
additional votes for the current administration. This has presented us with a great opportunity to supply
our cranes to various sites involved in this work. The ongoing upgrade of road infrastructure is critical for
Mauritius, especially given the increase in traffic congestion. With the ongoing suspension of the
railway project, the situation is worsening as more cars are being sold, leading to a significant increase
in traffic congestion.

The government has many projects on the cards, but the situation currently resembles a waiting game.
This poses challenges, especially concerning critical factors such as water supply and catchment.

CRANE CONNECT

This rental company, which has grown over the years with the support of local industries and
international companies, has established a solid foundation in Mauritius. We are unlike other
companies in the sense that we offer a wider range of equipment including forklifts, telehandlers, man

We have a highly qualified and capable team with many years of crane experience. They are motivated
